Another year, another thousand cups of coffee.

The worst part of the new year's eve are our firework happy neighbors. The puppy freaks out with the garbage trucks. She is too big to fit in my shirt pocket, but that is where she thinks she belongs with loud noises.

Any suggestions on how to handle this evening?

Either a pheromone preparation, or then you can go with anti anxiety meds. Consult your local vet for both. Other than that, do you have a cellar or something? Getting the dog as far from the banging as possible is good. Another option is to do absolutely nothing and ignore the puppy, if you're making a big deal out of the fireworks, so will the dog.

I was wondering about a Benadryl, maybe let her sleep through it.
We try not to pet or cuddle or do anything that would make her feel that there was indeed something to be anxious about, but she is still very much a puppy. A big big puppy.

Although, the neighbors have a new puppy themselves this year. ( he is so CUTE! with an extra helping of awesome!)
Maybe there will be nothing to be concerned about.

Benadryl will put the dog to sleep call your vet to see how much to give the puppy.
