Happy dance for you getting your chicks!!!

@Alaskan and @chickisoup Thanks! That's an awesome idea. Now I just need to find it!. I have rearranged the brooder tote to a corner but not against the cold cement block wall. (Sunroom is unfinished...Still

) Anyway I have placed a large piece of plywood on one side and a large piece of cardboard on the other side. They are the sides that face out into the room. I also had 4 large styrofoam cubes from 2 electric infrared heaters that I put down 2X2 on on of the sides that face out behind the plywood. It looks strange, but it's almost a little room. Not sealed up of course but closed in enough to help retain the heat. When I put the plywood and cardboard up the temps went up 6-7o . Tonight will be 30o ,tomorrow overnight I guess is when it will be low of 3 with high winds. So that gives me time to find my heating pad!

All I need to do is pray the electricity doesn't go out now.

Maybe from Left to right...Left front Rhode Island Red? left back and center back Easter Eggers or Red sex links? Right back Leghorn? right front Barred Rock? :idunno Just guessing. Time will tell. They sure are cute! Good luck! PS here's a link that has chick pics! http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/BRKBabyChicks.html
So sweet!! And I wish I knew that much about chickens!
Thanks! Yes, I'm watching closely. I was able to feel Sissy's hips yesterday. It's her left hip. Its still very sore to the touch, but there's no wound, and she's being such a trooper!
Oh, it's best to know what's going on. I'm glad she's so tough! I'm happy for her that she has you to take care of her. :)
morning I really need one of these!!! didn't even realize I posted this first on the old folks thread instead of here! Long weekend. Between nursing a sick hen all weekend and daylight savings, I am going to need several of these today!!!
Hope your day and week get better. Sorry to hear about your hen.
