Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

no freezing temperatures in the ten day forecast, starting FF today with game bird crumbles, water and kefir, one cup down the hatch time to open the run and let them free range, good morning.

MORNING,

First round of shoveling done, now on my first cuppa. Wish I could have used one of these but I had to get the weight off the roofs first and this stuff is so much like concrete I hope the snowblower can handle it. Fortunately, the crust that formed overnight was just thick enough to make me have to push the shovel up the roof to break it up before I could drag the snow down. Can't just leave this stuff sit, it's just too heavy and wet. For those unfamiliar with (NOT Alaskan) this super high moisture stuff, it has a habit of turning into huge chunks of ice first which take it longer to melt and we're supposed to get above freezing on Saturday or Sunday then get hit with another round of this stuff so we don't have the option of just waiting till it melts because isn't going to, it's just going to get more stubborn about going away. Got to deal with it now to save the roofs and to try to control the inevitable flooding.

Oh, and a prayer of course for those in the south and west getting hit with tornadoes last night and possibly again today. Gee, I just love "spring".

I need MORE COFFEE!!! I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS!!!

TOTALLY WITH YOU! In our crazy weather this year, we get a snow dump, then it tries to melt for two weeks (takes awhile since at temps of 36 snow and ice don't melt all that fast  ) then another snow dump. Then repeat! Nasty stuff when you keep bepooping from 20 to 36, the snow turns to ice and then welds to whatever surface it is on. :barnie The poor little Alaskans were shoveling almost two hours a day for over a week. As a result, for two days in a row, I didn't force them to shovel the bridge that leads to my front door. I bet you can guess what is welded to that bridge now, huh? What I have to walk over every time I go in or out of this house! :th

Wow
I had forgotten how long winter was in the North.

I almost feel guilty going out to check the temp on the pool to see if it is ready for afternoon coffee yet.

Wishing all a warm day with Hot Coffee
