Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Yeah, but I don't really do Mexican food. I do some tex mex, but I usually go with something along the lines of salsa or guacamole with those. The hot sauce I usually use is a Thai sweet chili sauce, so that goes nicely with pseudo Asian food.

@3goodeggs I am with you on ketchup.... it is needed for more than just french fries....... need it for a proper meatloaf. But I like the ketchup with A1 and/or Worcestershire, and some Stubbs BBQ sauce.

I have two family members that Salt everything.... even watermelon. well I have to admit I like it on Watermelon occasionally.

But since I started cooking I took the salt off the table... and when they ask for it automatically I say give it a taste first. Then of course I put the salt back on the table.

I do like to salt the edges of a steak though... the fatty bits... I like the texture.

thouhg the family just raves over my roast.... Before when Grandma cooked it was a seven bone roast put in a frying pan and water added.... then boiled till it was almost done then potatoes and carrots and onion wedges added... That was her idea of a roast... OF COURSE they needed to salt it.

When I cook a seven bone roast I salt pepper and garlic it and sear it in the frying pan with a little bit of oil to get it started.... Then I add chicken stock and later the same kind of veggies... and I salt pepper and garlic them too....

yummo.

Oh I am cooking Rutabegas tonight instead of mashed potatoes.... havent decided on the main course yet... I have to get to peeling and quartering soon.
