Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

..was not a good life... I was just puzzled because when you talk one on one with people you have known for a very long time you learn to read them. She wasnt reading loss... or pain...

As I write this I just came to an understanding about this person... and an explanation of some things that have bothered me for years.

@3goodeggs

excellent point about that last bit of what I wrote.... She and I used to go out on the town to parties and such... Then one day she goes out on a date....

the story was she had been asked out by a deck hand on a boat she had been going scuba diving on she didn't particularly care about dating him she was more interested in the Capetian of the boat. So she told the guy... OK but I have a single girlfriend could you find a friend to go for a double date?

I suspect she was thinking of me.... but she decided to date em both saying that her friend Carol couldnt make it.

I am not Carol.

She married the Captain by the end of the year.

There were times when she gave a party... and when I asked her why she didnt invite "so and so" she would say ... I dont like to mix some of my friends together. Odd. that.

Now I realize that I am one of those friends. After she stopped inviting me over.

I have spent years wondering why that friendship died. Yep I have warts but I am not totally socially unacceptable.... But dang a friend should be a friend warts and all. any way thats how I feel. I guess I have different values.... sigh

Btw that was suppose to be pullit

Don't worry about it. I don't spell well at all and my phone always auto-corrects pullets as pulleys.

But I'm not allowed to look at pullets when I go to the feed store either.

..... My next plan is to call the hatchery and see if they have a Cochin bantam assortment and then try to explain to DH how inexpensive it is and how I need a replacement for Snoodle and how DD has been wanting Cochin Bantams not just Godonlyknowswhattheyare bantams from TSC. I'll let you know how that goes.

No I didn't.

I was a good girl and came home with empty cages and cash n my pocket.

by quoting someone who has already quoted someone else.... Oooh there is a setting within your preferences that either allows it or only allows you reply to quote the last person.... I get in trouble on some lists for not stripping out the nested quotes.

That explains it. I don't have that set because I often quote others who are already quoted but I only get the last one. Thanks!

Also, here are her bantams. They're six weeks old. Seven on Tuesday.
They're TSC special. lol
Any guess on breed?
They sure look like silver dorkings to me. If so, they have 3 boys and 2 girls there I'd say.

Dd found this egg, but she thought it was a small skinny pecan. So when she picked it up, she broke it.
We don't think it's a chicken egg; get bantams aren't old enough to start laying.
Here's a pic.

Btw, I'm in the deep south.

that is a fascinating egg, I would love to know what laid it.

And yeah, no idea on the bantams... a silver something with a single comb

Let's play Devil's advocate. Flip it around, deb. Why would you want to continue to be friends with someone as shallow as a bottlecap? Sounds like you had the better deal in the death of that friendship.

I will confess that your descriptions of assorted folks have hit close to home and led to pondering about certain folk that I have chosen to avoid. Well, maybe it's mutual.....
