Slipped tendon in baby chick - recovery?

I have a 1 week old chick who has a slipped Achilles tendon. She has had the injury since I received her at 2 days old (the leg was pulled up next to her body and she couldn't straighten it at all). I have had her in a splint and a chick chair (the chair I only use for maybe 12 hours a day) for 7 days. She is still not able to bear weight on the leg. Can a chicken live a happy life with the use of only one leg? How long do I need to splint her and use the chick chair? She is half the size of my other 2 healthy chicks. Her sad peeps are heartbreaking

I had one last year that I honestly don't know how I fixed it. I splinted the leg after trying to roll the tendon back.

Did she make a full recovery and live a normal chicken life? How long did the recovery take?
