Sneezing and Wheezing cockerel *Video

Thanks again for everyone's help. Today didn't go as planned.

I have dog safeguard powder and various horse dewormers. Likely just ivermectin and maybe pyrantel. I will definitely be building that emergency kit. I have some antibiotics but not Denagard, no Valbazen.

They are pets with eggs maybe someday lol, so I will treat. I'm waiting to hear from the vet still. She's seen unconventional animals in her garage for me before, so maybe she'll see him, who knows. I was called away today for an emergency, just home.

So he's not isolated yet but I did get lucky and grab a fecal sample when I got home and fed, appears normal. It's going somewhere tomorrow along with others, either to the vet or in the mail.

Tonight he's eating and drinking but wheezing fairly bad. I think bad anyway, not enough experience to be sure but I can hear him breathe across the coop.

I'll find and link the poop pic threads.

These ones over the weekend, still taking corid. Maybe just shed lining? Also noted but didn't photo more yellowish ones with bubbles.

Doesn't appear I'll hear from the vet tonight. So I guess decisions will be made tomorrow. It'll take a few days to get the denagard if I can't source it locally, which seems unlikely. I've seen Tylan at TSC but that's about it.

I spoke too soon, she did just call! She's going to see him in the morning, she's got Tylan and maybe she said oxytet, said she'll give him a shot and we'll go from there. She did remind me she doesn't really treat chickens much. She'll set up worming too. Any other particular suggestions I should talk to her about? Maybe have her get me denagard.

Denagard would be cheaper getting it through Amazon, plus it comes quicker than you would think...

Glad she will see him, but I would ask for the fecal float before deworming to make sure you target the necessary worms, if there are any...

Gram stain would show bacterial issues...
