Sneezing Duckling

hi, I’m working on getting a video of her sneezing. I will attach a picture of her enclosure. On another forum somebody recommended keeping ducklings on puppy pads till they were grown a bit. She sleeps onthe small hamster bed that she is very quickly outgrowing.I take herout to spend some time with me throughout the day and let her roam supervised on the floor. Is it possible she may have eaten some dust and it could cause this. She will sneeze 3 or 4 times in a row.

Does the sneezing have any routine (?) for example, after she eats, or after you pick her up, or is it sporadic throughout the day? Puppy pads work great for substrate, just as long as they are plain, and don't contain scents that may irritate her respiratory system. If the sneezing is minimal, and overall she seems to be acting ok, I would personally leave her be for now, as the problem will likely resolve itself. A few things you can do to help her if she does have something irritating her nares/throat would be to moisten her feed down with water, to allow easier eating.

Moistening feed increases bacterial, fungal, and yeast growth so it should be changed often. Making her water dish, a little larger will make it more appealing to her to play in, and will likely result in her attempting to clear her nares out more often.

I also note that she is the only duckling in the brooder; ducklings possess a high degree of sociality, and do best housed with other ducklings their size.
