Welcome to the snuggly saved hens contest! There is no prize, other than the satisfaction of winning and seeing other's amazing pictures! Ends 14/11/20

Please post your entry as follows:
- In this contest you need to post an image (following the rules for the online poultry show forum) showing your ex-battery hen snuggling with you! This can be a hug, petting them, sleeping in your arms.... anything along those lines! The hens can be any breed.
- Please also include the name and age of the hen!
- Then please write a short sentence about where you got them from!

EXAMPLE:

I got Henrietta from the BHWT hen rescue in South Devon (England)

Rules:
- The hens can be of any age, breed, ect... but they MUST only be ex-bats.
- Please only write in English! Otherwise I can't judge!
- Only one entry per person.
- Please be appropriate ect.
- Hens from anywhere, not limited to any country.
- Most importantly... have fun :D
 
We recently rehomed 10 ex batts from BHWT and they aren't that snuggly yet but they don't mind us picking them up ...

I guess nobody has any rescued battered hens. So I'm posting my spoiled baby rooster. LOL

Hello... anyone! This is now for any chickens lol.
 
These are all really bad pics of them in their tiny terrible coop. Couldn't get better pics of them. We have a new coop now.

The one in the top left had no tail when we got her. She still has the worst clipped beak, but it is improving. The one in the top right is molting, so looks a bit funny.

Awwwww! She looks a lot like mine... do you know what breed yours are?

BHWT say on their web site they are all Rhode Island Red crosses such as Lohman Browns, Goldlines, Hylines or Isa’s - beyond that I have no idea!

I would join but I don't have ex batts. I'm not sure what conditions mine were being kept in before I"m got them, though. They all had clipped beaks, one of them didn't have a tail, and they all looked quite scruffy. Not sure if it counts as rescuing, though.

Sounds like a rescue to me!
