Our family has a cookbook from the 1800s...it has an oven canning chart. After filling and wiping rims, put lids and seals on and place into oven at proper temp. For example...tomato products go in at 325 for 45 minutes. After the cans are removed from the oven, you can hear them as they seal. I have had great luck with this method! You can look up an oven canning chart online.

now why did they have to go and ruin it!?!?! Dagnabbit.....there has to be another way! Them whistling screech buckets scare me! I wanna know another way!
