Better to have the pole barn open at the ends so that air can move through. I stand by my original statement. You would be better off financially to get a diesel generator and power
the fans normally. If you are in Alabama and have this pole barn in an open field, then that summer sun is going to make that place an oven. You have to move some air through
there. I cannot begin to imagine the size of the fans you would need. They would have to be massive, and if you used solar power your grid would probably have to be the size of
the barn itself.
