Some questions. New to pigeons.

This is the area I'm thinking about. It's about 7ft from the wall to the walkway. I'd clear out most of the plants. The roof is mainly vines so shade can be adjusted.

What kind of flooring do pigeons prefer(wood chips, dirt, cement, etc)?

I'm very lucky to have a father who's an architectural master. Here's what he built for the chickens, it'll probably be similar. Are there any modifications, other than an airlock, that would be different for pigeons?

Thank you for the info!
Wow! That's a very pretty building! Yes, you are very lucky!

Pigeons would be fine with any of those flooring options, but I Think they would like dirt the most. And so will you. You wont have to clean it hardly at all if you only have a few. You could make it very very pretty if you got a bird bath for baths in there, with some stones around it and then grass. What type of pigeons are you thinking? or are you going to do doves?

The only thing I can add is that I have a flock of Ringneck doves and they get along well. No deaths etc from fighting. The males will have cooing battles but have not attacked each other but it could happen if you have a territorial male. Also the doves that have been raised together get along perfectly. I would never add another male to the mix without segregation and supervision when together. I have heard of a pigeon house mate turning on a dove and hurting them but I have not experienced that because I don’t let the two out at the same time in the bird room.
