I agree!

No No NOT chicken anonymous....We need more chickies, more chickens, more projects, more incubators, more feed, more people on BYC to show our chickens to, more eggs to hatch.....We love to see those miracles of birth!!!! I'm a chickie watcher!

Love you all and have a blessed day! Nancy

Nancy... I saw your FBCMarans for sale and I was so tempted.

I have to keep telling myself. I have too many chickens....

started out this year with2 RIR then went to a sale got 6 more RIR. Then want different kinds so went to a farm got 6 Barred Rocks. 5 ended up roos so kept 2 and the little girl rehomed the rest of the boys. Then got 2 more a BR and a BA both ended up being boys rehomed. Then ordered 10 from Ideal bad idea too hot all 10 ended up dying in transport or shortly after. Then went to another farm got 5 mixed. 2 americauna 2 BA and a mixed Delaware. one is a roo which will go to his new home when he is a little bit bigger. Then got 4 naked neck which one was a roo so rehomed him and a hen with him so have 2 naked necks. this last Sunday went to another farm got 9 3 BR 1 Delaware 1 BA 1 RIR and 3 of the cutest barnyard mixes all I am pretty sure are pullets. Got 2 eggs in the incubator EE's. No I dont have a problem. I know chicken math very well.

Like it has been said before you have come to the wrong place for help to stop buying chickens. Oh by the way I have 10 silkie chicks I need to rehome. Interested?

ZAZ what breed of chicken is that big brown and white one in the middle bottom third of your picture. Don't think I recognize it.

If we didn't get such big long winters here I'd probably be unstoppable, but thankfully I am limited by coop space. Even still, I have too many chickens! I had to sell off 15 babies and I have 20 more in an incubator that will probably mostly have to be sold as well - and 13 silkies in a brooder - I will sell the roos out of those, but we all know how long that can take.. And 8 POL hens + 6 teenage pullets and 16 guineas (which hopefully will run off and roost in a tree cause I'm out of room!). /sigh.. We do have lots of room (26 acres) but just no time to build more coops.

Doesn't help that all the guineas INSISTED on staying with their chick friends so now I have 23 birds in a coop meant for 15 - they are all 'teens' now, so again I hope some of the guineas decide to roost in the barn or somewhere else. LOL. Anyone with guineas knows what happens when they are not happy. Earplugs are needed!

I love that field o' chickens pic!

I can say though I only have four chickens. Mostly because the city won't let me have anymore!
