Something wrong with eye??

Hey guys,

My male has suddenly got something going on with his eye, anyone know if its life threatening and how I should help him?

He may have gotten pecked in the eye or possibly he has some debris in the eye.

Hard to tell. General care is to flush the eye with saline, wipe away any debris or pus from the eye, then apply an eye ointment like Terramycin into the eye. If you can't find Terramycin then use Original Neosporin in the eye.
Clean/flush the eye and put ointment in it 2X a day, see if it clears up.

I had a male that was pecked in the eye back in the summer (I have a mean hen!), he was not happy about getting his eye treated the first couple of times, but did get used to it.
Quail are wiggly things, so I used a small towel to swaddle him so his wings were captured, I could handle him easier and work on his eye. He fussed around about that too, but got over it
