Yup! I had my big boots out this afternoon. One pair of tinny shoes is already soaked so I just went to the boots. I hate wearing them though since I usually wind up stepping on somebody. I can't feel anything in them because they are that thick rubber.
There were a lot of eggs that did not get collected today since it was pouring rain and they were dry and snug in the nests. I hope to collect in the morning. Surely all this rain will be gone by then.......right?

And Robin, you know I do not mind putting my 2 cents in.

Yay for you! Way to go DH!!! I feed early in the morn before I go to work so I missed the rain...was just sprinkling. I feed in the mornings and collect eggs and check waterers in the evening...never get to spend quality time until the week-ends! Mine don't get to roam because no one is here...gee I hope they are happy here...they seem to be

I talked to him last night. He wants 10-15 girls for broodies. Doesn't care about the quality. All I have is chicks which won't work. If anyone has some for sale, let me know and I can pass along the man's number. He doesn't use the computer.

I've been feeding my birds a mixture of 11-scratch grains, BOSS, wheat germ oil, rooster booster, DE, liquid B vitamins and probiotics all mixed together. They seem to really like it. I give it to everyone once a week. I also bought a poultry vitamin called Avian or something like that. It's a black powder. It says it has over 70 vitamins and minerals. I add that to one-gallon waterers once a week. They drink it. The larger birds more than the silkies. I was losing a lot of chicks and this seems to help.

eggcartons.com has 20% off everything and free shipping thru Wed. Nov. 30 midnight.
Oxine $32.95 less 20% = $26.36 I knew there was a good reason I was procrastinating about ordering

I always order egg cartons from them when they offer free shipping.
They have lots of things besides egg cartons.

Just found this. Not sure if it is excluded from the offer.
They have a Sportsman for $652 less 20% would be $522
