In North Carolina it's not just the best BBQ, but what part of NC has the best BBQ. There is Eastern BBQ and then there is Lexington BBQ. Which is of course the best hands down!!

Just got back from Florida and you can not find sweet tea there. I went through withdrawl!!

Has nothing to do with food but my northern cousin would come here for a week in the summer and could not stop ribbing me about my "britches"!!!!

Another thing I never see up here but hear its a Southern thing is sweet potatoe fries, I love them but no one else does.

I would do almost anything for barbecue (pulled pork, I'm from TN), sweet tea, good potato salad, and some good beans.

I went to Ruby Tuesday and ordered "Memphis" style ribs. Weren't nothing Memphis about those ribs. I nearly cried. I knew it was stupid to hope, but I do get tired of PNW food.

Well, in Missouri, we have a back 40, things get cattawompus, we drink soda which can be any number of drinks and we can go down in the hollar. What we don't do is dress a sandwich??

and I had ants growing up..(the female kind..not the bugs!)
