My SFH just laid her first little blue egg! it's a silkie size egg but sure is blue. She is 17 week old so they do start pretty early.

Why am I having problems uploading pic this week to this site?

Well yesterday my girlfriend and I were discussing getting turkeys. She has 1 little rescue chick driving her crazy but she doesn't have anything small enough to house it with and it wants company. Soooooo.......we might drive to Lakewood where the guy has some blue slates and eastern peeps. I keep telling myself NO..NO but you know the drill. Whats 2 more big mouths to feed?

I would love to have turkeys but my family has put their feet down no more animals

yes, pickles are really easy to put up. You don't need to cook them, just the pickling juice. I added zucchini and sliced red peppers to mine, awesome! Jeanette liked them.lol

I can hook someone up to a woman out in the Bronx for 2 silkie pullets priced $20.00 or less each if anyone has a couple.

I'm keeping all mine, but caved and just started up the incubator again after I promised myself no. About half (20 or so) are Silkie eggs. Just wanted Showgirls, so whatever's left....
