Tomorrow ill fix up the oops paint spots and touch up the the white. Finally put the runs roof on and put more hardware cloth on the bottom and the chickens will be ready to roll. ;-)

This looks great. Mine did the same transformation over the weekend. I will post pics in a few. We are all ready for our girls and very excited.

Yeah, stress, or (In all seriousness) they crushed each other. Meat chickens aren't like layers, they tend to crowd each other like a mosh pit if one goes after a crumble-they all charge at that crumble.

I will do meatys again, but honestly, they were rather nightmarish.

I have a feeling they were crushed.

I love my girls and now I want more. Something else. Something to extend my feathered family. I have 3 Ameraucanas but would like something that lays a different color egg, perhaps the dark brown or tinted pink.

Well one of my polish died today. Not the one that was showing respiratory problems but her Ideal sibling.dont know whether it was the heat over the passed week. Richard is going to post her on Monday. I guess I'm not suppose to have polish. I shouldn't have named them after my mom and mother-in-law.

I opened the door to the juvies cage today and they were roaming all over the back yard.

Morning all,
I'll be glad when this week is over. Yesterday afternoon while picking some beans I found 11 blue eggs under the plants. I just figured that the EEs weren't laying cause of the heat.WRONG.... The day before I looked everywhere figuring they might be laying them somewhere else. What a waste.

Last night at 4 am the phone rang. It was some maid service. Then around 7 some crazy person road passed on a bike screaming obscenities at the world.

I need a vacation..

It could be worse. Thank goodness for next week...
