Thanks, all! My rooster Conway's brother, George -- who now lives with Roberta's flock since he was a bit too boisterous for my close-by neighbors -- is basically his twin. The only way I could tell the two of them apart is that George's beak is all tan, while Conway has a black streak in his.

And, yup, chickendude -- Ranger fan (and season ticket holder ... blue seats, of course!). Here's hoping the Rangers can keep the Broad St. bullies in line!

Happy New Year everyone! I'll always remember 2011 as the year of the chicken. It was a tough year in many ways, but it brought me lots of happiness and new friends - and I count you all among my blessings!

That's because I have to WORK for my cheep bosses.
Didn't party too heavy, but did puke all night.
Don't know if it was the meds, or the old champagne I took out of the fridge like 3 years old.
Only had 1 glass... but I needed the room. Don't really drink it.

I'm still trying to get rid of this bronchitis. A week and a half of antibiotics and I still have it. Four more days on the antibiotics and i probsbly have to go back to the doc. I'm off the methotrexate until the antibiotics are done so I didnt have the reaction you had to the champagne. When you're on MTX you are not supposed to drink alcohol. That might have been a reaction to meds, Roberta. Hope you are feeling better now.

Sorry you got stuck working today. Some bosses need to be told that Lincoln freed the slaves.

We had a quiet New Year's Eve at home. Dinner out early, then Frasier reruns till after 1. No champagne here - sparkling grape juice, which is bad enough.

Went to Nardy Honda (did you see me waving, Roberta?) "just to look" and wound up with a 2010 Civic - pretty low mileage and a pretty good deal. Picking it up on Thursday. Have to do the whole car switch thing with Laura. She'll take my 2002 and I'll trade in her 2000.
