Yea, I just give mine away to a guy I know who in the end eats them if they get too unruly. He picks me up a bag of feed or scratch as a thanks as well as brings me colorful eggs as well.

Alot of us "pros" (HAH!) will refuse to break up the pair. Take the roo, or you get nothing! That way it's the buyers problem.
Depends on how desperate you really are.
I have been locking my noisy ones in the garage.
But stoopid as I am, I wait until 4am to hear them crowing, then go outside and snatch them up.
By then the bad neighbors have heard them, and all the OTHER boys have already started in.
It does calm down once the offenders are in lockdown. And I let them out around 8 or so.
I really should just put them in at night, but that would be too easy.
And if they were in the market for a point of lay pullet, they should pay at least $20 for just the girl.
Don't give in. That's why you priced them so low.... because of the rooster dinner.
Thanks for the advice, CFG! I reposted on the Hudson Valley craigslist because people there can take roosters. Listed them for $20. I'll give it a day or so to see if there's any interest. If not, I'll sell just the pullet and give away to some hungry rooster lover...
