.... And the transformation into yet another Chicken Crazy person is now complete! Welcome to the club! :lau

Your not kidding Heather, I lied to my husband and then backtracked yesterday...he caught me kissing a chick...he was like" did you just kiss that chicken." He sounded completely disgusted and I turned to him and went...uhmmmm no.....kinda...

I set up the aero garden I gave my dad for Xmas. He had it in his shed, I guess he didn't want to figure out how to use it. Hopefully the tomato seeds are still good.

This year I'm just giving him a gift certificate. He never likes what I get him. Pffft
Cool! I always wanted one of these when I see the commercials. I hope you get some nice winter herbs for the kitchen.

I have 2 of them! I looooove mine. I have the extra tall one for the cherry tomatoes and the XL for herbs. The herbs grow SO FAST once they get going-my kitchen was taken over by cilantro last year. The dill also seemed to try to engulf my kitchen counter.

So easy to use, just make sure you have the nutrient packs-they're pretty inexpensive, and they make the hydroponics work.

Kissing the chicks is necessary for their proper growth. In addition to the fact that they chicks just seem to demand kisses. and cheek rubs as well. I swear my kids thought I was crazy-I sat there holding each one at a time, my eyes closed, rubbing them on my cheeks. So sweet and soft, and the little peeping sound is irresistible.

They thought I was crazy before they tried it. We're chick-cheek rubbing nuts now.

GOOOOD MORNING Mah peeps!!!!

I had a glorious weekend! Took my daughter to the city to see "Wicked" with her two besties. It was better than I remember it, and the girls actually wept it was so good!! We then walked from 51st street down to Canal, shopping here and there, to get to our Hotel. We hung around TriBeCa for a few hours, then my husband met us at the hotel with our clothes for dinner. We then walked to "Ninja NYC" which was really awesome. It's a Japanese restaurant-not for little kids, it's rather scary, Ninjas popping out at you all over the place, then magic tricks and some fire stuff. Very cool. the food was also fantastic. (Hard to find a gimmicky place that serves really good food, so this was a bonus!)

After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and went to sleep (My husband went home, he had the boys to watch and then football games yesterday) I found out that all 3 of these girls talk in their sleep...all night long.

So yesterday I was like the walking dead...we shopped some more-Urban Outfitters (no actual purchases-too expensive) then cabbed up to Times square, where we went to "Forever 21" which is 4 stories of clothing at great prices, bought a few things, got the boys chocolate from the Hershey store, then took the train-the girls went home to Port Jeff, and I got off in Jamaica, met my husband for a friend of ours 50th birthday party in Bayside. (where I grew up) I was the DD, which suited me just fine-I was fascinated by my old neighborhood and how it had changed.

One thing that kind of put a damper on the weekend-one of my daughters friends seems to have an infection on her leg. I think it looks like a staph infection, and I told her she needed to get to a doctor or hospital when she got home-my middle son had one on his elbow from football several years back and was hospitalized for 3 days-and it was NOT MRSA. Well, the girl (who pretty much lives at my house part time, great kid!) texted her mom, (normally a nice lady) and told her she needed to see a doctor about the infection-the mother freaked out, we don't need a hospital...blah blah blah. Ok, well, she picked the girls up from the train station, went a little nuts on MY daughter about ME!! that I should have taken her to the train immediately and sent her home...(There's exactly 3 trains to PJ a day on Sunday!! This was one of them! ) I told my daughter this morning, when she told me everything that happened, that If I thought it looked that serious, I would have taken her to a Hospital in MANHATTAN and not waited for her to get home to go to St Charles. So, now I'm confused, since my daughter told me the girl STILL hasn't gone to the hospital!!!

So, she's blaming ME, but hasn't done what she should have? Ugh. I don't get it, plus, if she has a problem with me, call me, don't yell at my kid. Well, my daughter is going over there to visit her friend after school, hopefully the mother has calmed down, if she needs to talk to me, she should just call me.

Anyhow, today I clean the house, and food shop! Woohoo, go me!! What are everyone's plans??

Good monday all youi peep addicts!
First I'd like to say thank you for your condolences on my mom's passing, it meant a lot. I walked for 6 hours this weekend on the beach and picked up more than 20 lbs. of seaglass. That helped clear my head. :)

Suzanne I keep trying to PM you but the server is giving me error messages for some reason. So thank you for your thoughtfullness. :))

I'm signing up for knitting classes in sayville, at
Rumplestilskins yarn store, starts this Thursday.
So excited. We are making a blanket. If I like it I might
do the sweater class in December too. It will keep me
busy during those cold winter days. Heading off to do
some work at my CSA. My girls are gonna be unhappy
when all the yummy organic veggies stop coming.
Maybe I'll knitt them sweaters haha.
