These are solid bands, go on young, or never. I band my parrots (required by law), so I figured I'll just band everything.

Roberta, no, I would never be mad at seeing more people coming in. In fact, thanks for PMing others and inviting them. The more the better for us to keep this alive.

I only started the thread, but it belongs to all of us. We are like the orphaned chicks down this end of the state and need to reach out to each other for our own specific needs. Downstaters have many different issues that upstaters don't have, and there is strength in numbers. The more we locate down this end the better to help when issues of zoning, neighbors and diseases come up.

BTW, all six of ours laid early today. They must like the nicer weather. Thought they would be slacking off by now but they are producing consistently.

I'm having issues with the roof shingles leaking slightly and am not sure if I should replace them totally, or re-shingle over them. lots of work that I would rather pass on right now. It does have to get done before the winter, though.

Yippers... I saw someone had an address "Rocky Point", but I didn't want to make an *ss out of myself and find out there are like, 27 Rocky Points in the world!! I even got Vera (Riverside Silkies) to come on last nite.

Oh, shoot. The coop. Would have been nice if I had said that. I need another cup of coffee.

I cleaned out the coop this morning and noticed the ceiling is damp. This happens when the rain is wind driven and the past couple of storms made it worse.
