Carolyn, thanks loads for this. The major problem is m having right now, which is becoming a major concern, is double vision. We went to a flea market and it was hard to see where I was walking. A lot of one eyed peeking around. Any suggestions or should I be headed for the ER post haste.

I am going to get the mask and use it in the coop. That makes a lot of sense, although I think this is a seasonal situation for me. The past three years have been hell.

Rich, I am going to do the edit for your name.

Anyone else please say if you want me to post your name. I would not want to take it upon myself to do it.

Carolyn, I just ordered the mask. This has to help, and is a good idea to use amyway. Thanks again.

Gotta love those silkies. snow cone was a rescue early this summer left at my feed store after the easter season. she'd been dyed hot pink. As it grewpout it really was funny to watch. Her crest/butt/wings tips were last to go white. She is a sweet girl and proving tp be an eggcellant momma.

I am so thrilled.

Hey Al, just wondering how you're making out?

Maggie, love your mamma there! I would love to have a couple silkies in my flock. Maybe in the spring I can sneak some in...

Maggie, cute girls ya got there. Sad day for me today. I came home from work and went to lock up the chickens for the night and noticed my very tiny EE wasn't inside. I found her in the run half hiding under a rock. She was all bloody and pecked up by the bigger birds. There was also blood coming from her beak as she was breathing. So I culled her. She is one of my 4 new birds. She never developed or grew. Her weight was only 1lb 4 oz. She was 6 1/2 months old. I kinda knew she had a defect when she stopped growing. And of course she is the one I most wanted.
