I had a family of them hatching in the woods for a few years next lot over from me.
I enjoyed them until they starting eating my babies!
One month, they ate 25 of them.

How exciting watching this hawk hatch! Thanks form sharing.
I sat on the beach saturday watching a red tail just circle on the breezes and it was a beautiful thing to watch. Oc course when they circle my chickens its a different story.LOL

OK fairy godmother Robeerta. If my silkie goes broody can I buy a few eggs from you to mail to me ....maybe....????



Considering her smaller size it could only be 6-8 small eggs.....or maybe 5 large ones. But she does a really nice job raising them outside. Last year I ened up hatching what turned into 3 roos (2/turkens and 1 blue cochin) and 1 gorgeous blue cochin hen I named Sadie.....who lays me double yolkers occasionally.

No Maggie, you can't BUY eggs from me! You can have as many as you want NO CHARGE.
Of course, If I mail them, I would like to get reimbursed for postage, but my car is so great, I wouldn't mind delivering them. I have Orp eggs right now.....

I am waiting for her to for sure set up before getting her eggs just like last sept.. She's been back and forth since Easter and growling/grouchy.....but not setting. I couldn't take any eggs till I am sure cause i cant incubate right now iof it became necessary.

Your more than welcome to take a ride..grab up jeanette! LOL she's an expert on staten island by now. ...but won't it be a long one?????
I am really easy to get to from you taking the NJ Turnpike.......just mapquest bentley street....tottenville ny 10307. Outerbridge crossing. I am close to the bridge along the shore.

ahhhh thats too bad. Figures no rain for weeks then whack! I think my trees/grass turned green overnight. Totally different this morning out there. They are sucking up the water fast.

Lotsa work preparing for a show ...........congrats on taking ribbons. I don't know where follks get the energy to bath/transpoprt and enter a lot of biords.

I only brought 2 birds. My Silkie, 1st place, no further. My Shamo, Best of breed, no competition.
I got Carolyn's 2 BO's, cute, cute, so cute. I took pics of them sitting on Vera in the car. You can add an "h" to the sitting part, they really liked her.
And then, I dropped my phone in a rest stop. Someone found it and texted my hubby, claims it will go in the mail to me

So no pics, no phone, oh well.....

Roberta, congrats on the wins. Sorry about the phone. Vera must have felt like a statue.
