I don't know the full story on the Dr in Armonk but I'm guessing it's the roosters that are causing the problem. It feels like there is so much fear and ignorance, it's like being a pit bull owner. Worse, at least there are shows about rehabbed pitties on tv now.

I went to one they did as part of harvest fest and thought it was good but more on the introductory side. Maybe good for folks just starting?
As for the feed I'll keep it separate for now but the chicks are getting older so I guess the answer is don't panic when I see them eating layer feed.
Roberta I think one of our neighbors has moles, there are holes in the front yard and the puppy wanted to put her nose in every one of them and snifffff..... Lol
