This is my one and only SS girl, Confetti. She was just about to lay her first egg in these pics; now she's a year old. I tried to get three SS, but two turned out to be welsummers instead(feed stores ). Confetti is tiny, and doesn't tolerate being touched, let alone held. However, I can tell that she is one of our smartest hens. She's always first to figure things out, like how push through the gate into our yard or find the buggiest places to scratch when out free ranging.

I had 2 but one recently passed sadly. She was my favorite. Im so sad about it. Anyhow, they both have combs and wattles like the middle picture, why is one so different from the others??

She had sour crop and her health prevented her from ever laying.

Last night one of my SS, Junie, hopped up on my leg and settled in for some pets. My girls are around 18 weeks now and getting so big!

Little Flapod is now as big as my Orpington, and laid her first egg last Wednesday!

She still comes when called, or whenever she sees me. She also likes to hang out in the house. She's one of the friendliest girls I have; she loves to be petted.

Kiwi is so pretty now! She's around 9 weeks and I was wondering if you could judge her for me based on the SOP? If you need more pictures I can get more too, because I mostly took these to see if she was a pullet. And also I got her from a feed store.

So, my SS Kiwi passed away around mid 2022. I took more pictures of her back then, so I’m still curious about how close she would have been to the SOP? I know they shouldn’t have all white tail feathers (with black blotches), but I still think she’s pretty.
