I just checked the breed list for 2019 at our local feed store and they are apparently getting New Hampshire’s.... very tempting... it is about a month earlier than my other chick order though so idk if that would work, they would be way older than the others, plus I am going to AZ that week maybe I should call Meyer’s and see if they could add one to my order

That sounds perfect! I love holding them but mine don’t always like being held lol

Ooh, that does sound very tempting... *evil laugh* Jk But if you don't want to go through the hassle of integrating them, I would see if you could add a couple to your order

I plan on getting 3 buff orpington chicks and starting my very own flock!!

Love buff Orpingtons! Amelia (my profile pic) will be 10 this spring I have 4 new chicks arriving first week of April - Silver Laced Wyandotte, White Cochin, Buff Brahma and Jubilee Orpington - can't wait for the peeps to get here (but do need the rain in CA to stop sometime so I can finish the remodel of the coop I picked up recently!)

Nice! Quite the breed selection! How do you like the NHR and Brahmas? Almost got a New Hampshire but then opted for some other breeds instead. And I wanted Brahma or Cochin but they are so big!! Also, I have heard ISA Browns lay better than some of the other sex links, do you find that to be true?

Sorry you lost your chickens I know probably nothing can replace them, I lost my favorite hen the fall before this past one, but hopefully your new chicks will help a little bit!

My first hen is a Nh Red ..Sally she is little over 3 years old. A sweetie and queen of the coop.
She survived 3 predator attacks in one week.

As for losing my flock. Thank you..I was heartbroken. Josie the light bramha I hatched she was super attached to me as she was a single hatch spent her first 2 months indoors with me in my office..(I work from home) so when I lost her I was devastated..

Can't wait to see your new additions

I've got six serama eggs in my incubator that are due to hatch in two days! I've currently got seven chicks in my brooder (6 silkie, 1 serama) from some previous hatches.
