Sweetpea is truly the sweetest little chicken. :love I tried to put her back twice cause I thought that’s what she wanted cause she woke up and got a little fidgety but then she refused to jump back in the brooder. Just wanted more cuddles and naps lol :love

Wow 75% off, what a deal! Thanks for posting pics!

I chuckled a bit when I saw "Assorted bantams" and "Bantams straight run" as if they are different things. :) But bantams anything make me smile, they are so cute! All chickens are to me tho.

I had bantams with standards and didn't have a problem, but I don't know if the eggs will hatch if the rooster is a standard because the chick might outgrow the egg although I've never tried to hatch one or had a hen tried to hatch one, I had to rehome my roosters so they didn't stay long.

Update on my chicks. The first group all doing well but one has a cross beak. She seems to be eating okay. I took her to my vet who snipped her beak a little . I’m very lucky to have a vet experienced with poultry. She said as long as she eating okay and she can keep snipping the beak as she grows and it might help. She said she had a chicken last year almost missing her bottom beak and it gets along great so time will tell. She’s an Easter Egger with grey feathers in front. I will cull her if she’s not eating or suffering but for now let her be with her buddies. They don’t pick on her like I heard some chicks will.

We picked up from hatchery and got 3 lavender Orpington's, 2 polish,4 Brahmas,Buff and white,2 welsummers, 3 bearded,a Easter egger and 2 Amauaracuans,2 Jersey giants, and 4 welsh harquelin ducklings
Lavender orpington have been the friendliest,Including one of the Easter Eggers and one of the Amauracunas who usually once picked up just sits in my hands.
None of the rest have really came around quite yet.

The chickies are so cute lately lol I open the door and they all come running up and jump on my knees and fly on me and run around lol

Today I sat in there and they were so cute.

Sweetpea tried to dustbathe in my sweatshirt with no dust. :lau :love thinking tomorrow if it’s nice I may let them out in the yard for the first time. In a little pen or something of course.

Here are some cute videos of them from today.

And a few pictures lol

These are gonna be really friendly birds. Watch your eyes around them. You don't need a repeat of the eye pecking incident. ;)
