Spring Granny Square Swap

Well, As soon as I get off here I am going to start playing with the blocks.

I'll have to clear off my centerpiece on the table to do it or I might use my cutting table in the sewing room. I will have such fun looking at each and every one of them. I hope to get them all in the mail this week but will make sure Kate's are the first out so she has time to sort them with her students.

I went out in the vegetable garden this morning to pick some arugula for dinner and there was a bull snake in there and the poor thing was dead. It got caught in the bird netting and got stuck trying to get out. To get it he must have gone under the netting as he was way too big to have gone through that 1/4 inch mesh. It might be the one that helps keep the mice down in the chicken pen. The mice are terrible this year.

.... humm..... there has got to be some sort of on-line meeting thing that would facilitate that......

There is. It is called GoToMeeting. I meet with people on both sides of the Atlantic every two weeks. If everyone's computer is up to speed, we use our webcams.

Well, Can you hear the drum roll? I just put out all the sqares and they total..........432.....Can you believe that? Thanks to all the extras that were crocheted we'll get 36 each and that includes each of Kate's students and Kate. Oh! how pretty they are. Some are missing names so I'll write the name on the bag. I have all the boxes lined up and picked up some more in case I needed bigger ones. Now off to sort and fill boxes.

Good drum roll. Is it wonderful being surrounded by all those squares? Thank you for letting us know in advance how many there are. Now I know I need to make seven more for a total of 132, a twelve x eleven square afghan, or about 72" x 66". Thank you everybody.

They're done! They're done! All are boxed and all that is left is to address the boxes and then take them to the post office. I will post when they're mailed so everyone can be on the lookout. Have a good evening everyone.....

Oh I forgot to put my name on the outside of the bags. I put it on the inside only. Sorry!

ME TOO!!!

That's all right Sunny I was able to tell whose they were. Everyone got 36 blocks. I think I had two extra and I put them in Kate's box. They are all labeled and sealed and I will mail them in the morning so everyone can be on the lookout for them

I am going to try and post the photo of my grandson's gecko quilt top I just finished. I have to get some batting and then I will be ready to quilt it. What do you know, I did it the first time.
