Spring Granny Square Swap

We have 70 squares and counting.

Rancher~ No you didn't miss anything. You are fine! We only have to do as many squares as there are participants signed up. The sign up deadline isn't until Feb 28th, so the final number of squares required hasn't been determined just yet. Then there is another deal line for completion which is April 28th. All the rules & regulations along w/ deadlines can always be found on page 1 ~ post 1 of this post. It looks like as of now there are 15 participants signed up plus Writer 's students, which I don't know how may are participating. Alethea loves to crochet and is only participating in the swap to donate her squares. She made extra to send to Writer's students for them to have fun making something out of them.

Don't worry there is plenty of time to make the required amount before the deadline. I'm still so busy w/ other projects that I haven't even started. I think I know the pattern I am going to use though.

Well I'm glad this is cleared up. I too have many irons in the fire. The incu is full, two half coops are started, GD present to mail , egg sales, (Lord I wish they'd pick up laying), Garden to prepare, (in this weather I can get a lot done if I just get off my butt). You know I haven't worked in three years except volunteer work, but I'm still in that mindset of a "week end warrior". I still feel the urge to do stuff only on the week ends.

I've booked marked the color wheel page , but I see no pink or reds and I'd like to do a Rose square. I have an old pattern with Roses. I've done it twice or so. Once in Rainbow colored roses for my mother. I will do one up and post it to see what you think.

When I make a granny square afghan I like to do one Red rose square for one corner.

Do you know how many of your students are participating yet? I was trying to get a feel for how many squares I need to catch up on since I haven't had time to start mine yet. I need to get my fingers flying soon.

Rancher~ We LOVE to see pics of everyone's crocheted projects. Please post a pic of the rose pattern square when you get a chance. I'm pretty sure I will be doing a floral pattern that I did for last year's swap. I'm still plowing through other promised crochet projects at the moment and haven't started the swap squares yet. Hopefully soon I can just alternate my unfinished projects w/ the swap squares. I need to get my booty in gear.

There's something about an afghan on the bed that makes it inviting to me. Either that or I'm really tired.,

Here are my spring squares as promised. I discovered there are 71 rather than 70. The pink ones at the end are for Writer's students, as are the little balls of yarn. Now let's see whether I can learn to post a picture and text at the same time.
