Spring Granny Square Swap

Completed 5 of 7 rows on 26 squares this weekend. My goal of 40 should be completed in the next week... maybe a bit more. Now thinking I may be able to get a few more done. We have a total of 17, yes? I have 4 different color squares, all the same pattern. Thinking I may have enough yarn to make 17 sets of the 4 squares and then Betty doesn't have to decide who will get which colors, everyone will get them all.

I can't believe how many squares yall have done. On a good night, I can get 2 done - and that is only one or two nights a week.... Better buckle down this week and finish them up!

Wow! Finally read through all new posts. Love the pictures! The chicks and the squares. Did not get anything done on my squares while I was away. I did some crocheting but did not want to have to do a lot of color changing either on the plane, in hotel or visiting with my mother so I made a blanket. Well, almost made... have to make the stars and sew them on then it will be done. Came out a lot bigger than I thought and took an entire suitcase to get it home! I've started working on my squares and have the first two rows (of 7 total) completed on a lot of them. Should be able to bust out of a bunch of them in the next week or two.

Wow! How did I miss this before? This is fantastic! I love it!!!

I had no idea I was missing a hen! I've been commenting on how many more eggs I'm getting and was shocked to see someone had hidden and sat at least 8 eggs! I have 4 broodies right now,,, 2 allowed and 2 trying steal their nests!

I have to say that if that is you in the avatar , you remind me of a friend of mine from church and every time I see you , it makes me think of her. She really nice as is her DH. I think it's the smile.

Point being you inspire good thoughts.

You ? I'm struggling to finish two sets. I've got a cold and it won't go away. I have all I can do to take care of the chickens. But I will get them done. Just need a good day to finish. And more yarn.

AC Moore has Vanna 's on sale again two for five. Joann's is terrible these days with yarn sales.

Everyone is so busy.....I have three sets of 20 finished even with me going out of town for a week for the funeral. I still have to bag and tag them but that won't take long. I drove 100 miles yesterday to spend two hours with my granddaughter who is at FT. Irwin for 30 day desert warfare training with the army. She goes back to her base in GA tomorrow. I drove the same distance home but in the pouring rain and high wind. Wow! was that a mess. It was worth it though. I had to go alone since DH had to work yesterday but it was great to see her. She goes to Afghanistan in July or August.
