Great to have you back! The kids just adored your squares and we are working along on ours.
Hi.
I'm back from my retreat and just read over two weeks worth of posts. It is nice to know you are all well and hooking. Thank you for all the pictures of projects and chicks. I'm not going to try to respond to everything, just want you to know how wonderful it is to know you all. In addition to chickens and crocheting, you appreciate the value of trees and indigenous flora. I'd considered dropping out of BYC when I move, since I won't have chickens, but have changed my mind.
Debbie- You and your family are in my heart and prayers. I'd be happy to send a card to your father. I don't know yet whether I'll be on the receiving end of the swap. I move Thursday and will see my new room and hope to be able to post Friday to let Betty know whether a blue/purple/green afghan will go. If I'm not receiving, you can send me a card in an envelope and I'll send it along.
Smitty-The hat is six-inch squares. It is large, good for someone with a big head or big hair. For some of us, smaller would work better.
KKat-Good luck with the remodel. I hope you can be in touch from time to time.
By the way, I took all my hooks and some yarn on retreat. I made a pair of bed socks for a friend in England. I didn't realize until I was there that the yarn is too coarse, so I didn't send the socks. I'll wait until I get settled and wash them with conditioner and see whether they get softer. So, since I had more yarn and wasn't ready to mail, I started on a matching shawl.
Cheers
