Yep. I just ordered some hatching trays and a couple other misc items. For everyone else the 10% off code for Brinsea (brinsea.com) is EASTER. Can't wait to see pics of the new babies!

My first hatch was for a friend to test hatch her old roo's fertility. None of her eggs were good! It was sad. I had thrown in a few of my marans pullets eggs, thinking they would not develop cause they are brand new layers, and three of them did develop and are due Sunday. That is if they hatch.

Oh I'm sorry about your friend's old roo's fertility, but excited that the Marans are developing. Yippeeeeee....just in time for Easter!

Oh yea I know all about the 10% off code word and am soooooooooooooo tempted to use that word.

I've been drooling over several of their products.

I hope your trip went well Alethea, I haven't had great Internet access lately! The knitting went well, the kids picked it up really fast and I didn't lol!!! I have a bunch of babies,, a couple of sneaky hens pulled quickies on me and one waltzed out with 8 from under the house!

Hi everybody.

Thank you all for the good wishes on the move. It was uneventful. The rental van had some quirks I never got used to and by the time I got here I was very grateful to be off the road.

It's great to see you all.

I was fully prepared for my room to clash with purple, blue and green and was ready to start an afghan from some wool I have stashed since October.To my surprize, the purple, blue and green will look good. If it's ok with Betty and the rest of you, I'd like to join the receiving end of the swap. I'll start on more squares as soon as I finish the shawl I'm making to match the bed socks I made for a friend in England. The yarn is coarse and I'm going to try washing them with shampoo and rinsing them with conditioner or creme rinse to see whether they soften. If they don't, I'll have to make a pair of bed socks before starting on squares.

I hope there will be pictures of the new chicks.

Alethea, of course you get in the swap. You made enough blocks after saying you couldn't swap but wanted to contribute. You will need to send me postage though. You have my address. You will need to PM me your new address also. There will definitely be enough blocks to go around several times the way we've all done double and triple the number. So glad you can be on the receiving end of the blocks also. Glad the colors will go with your new room.

This is completely un-Swap related, but I have to share this with you all -Our goat Eclair had babies this morning! Two adorable little doelings:


Left - Madeleine {Maddy}; Right - Charlotte


We were a little worried about Maddy at first, because her hoof looked so big in the bubble before she came out. But everything went fine. When she came out I was shaking something awful from being so nervous, lol. They are both eating well and getting used to their land legs

I just can't believe that we really have babies now!!!
