It was in the 60's yesterday and today windy and in the 30's. Weird weather!!!

Was in the high 60's here yesterday - going to be nearly 80 today - 40's tomorrow and 20's tomorrow night......

Rancher...congrats on the new chicks. Your squares are looking really good. Been busy making them I see.

So glad I found this site

I feel like this smiley. I did a square exchange quite a few years ago and loved the blanket that I ended up making from them. My youngest sons girlfriend at the time liked it too. She ended up with it. Hum wonder if she still has it????

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone! Our temps are plummeting today too. No snow due in until Monday though. Temps will be in the 30s today here but 40s in Reno down in the valley. Wind is supposed to be terrible today though since a storm is moving to the north of us. Need to clean out the coop so this should be interesting...

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend this weekend. Beautiful squares Rancher! Happy Hooking!

We were almost 80s here yesterday and at last check we are currently in the 50s. We were supposed to have a big storm pass through last night and unless I slept right through it, it did not show up! Have today off as my sister was supposed to fly in from Houston this morning but she was unable to get on the flight (her daughter is a flight attendent so she flies standby on her airline). She was upset that she was not able to get on but will be attempting another flight either later today or tomorrow.

I love to crochet but hate to have to sew squares together (I don't mind crocheting them together but sewing/whip stitching is a real bummer for me!) and I have 63 squares for a sampler afghan sitting here ready to be whipstitched together that she was going to do for me while here. I also have double flowers that need to be sewn onto headbands that I made for someone going on a mission trip to Africa.

I have 3 rows left on 5 of my black, white and grey squares and then I can make a pattern commitment and start my squares for this swap!

I am also working on the Mystery Crochet Along at Bernat.com. I got the 2nd clue yesterday (they come out every Wednesday) but have not yet made the squares for this. Going to be a busy weekend! Good thing I took today off!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Rancher: Love the squares! I think the extra row you had to add really set them off beautifully!

Good morning everyone, Sorry for you all that are having storms and of course snow. It is sunny and warm today in the high desert, in fact I'm outside in a minute to work in my garden. DH planted carrots, peas, beets and lettuce yesterday. My radishes, onions, garlic and cabbage are growing. We are almost at the end of our average frost date for our zone8 but it's been known to have frost until the middle of April so may have to cover stuff it it turns that cold. My roses have new leaves and my plum tree has blossoms. I even have daffodils in bloom. Time to plant the tomato seeds I guess. I did a few more squares last night using a new pattern I got off crochetcentral.com. It's an easy one but I want to make sure we have enough squares for the swap in case some that signed up have changed their mind. Will find out when I PM everyone. Have a good day!

Wow I can't wait to start some plants, I'm in zone 4 so it'll be awhile. Do you get plums to eat from your tree?
