Spring Granny Square Swap

Also, I'm of the same mind as Rancher. You are all in my heart and prayers and I wish you all to be well and happy.

Sunny- That's a good idea. I had an afghan which looked good in my old room and really intended the squares to go to everybody else. I offered to leave the first afghan because it matches the room so well, so will want another for my new room. I don't know what my new room will look like, so can't commit to purple, blue and green yet. If it doesn't clash, I will join the swap. You all have made such beautiful squares. I move April 5th and will let you know. Betty will be back by then.

Oh how fun! So many chicks and now Alethea may get some squares too. We will also be doing a different swap after this one so those colors may fit better into your new scheme. I know we will all probably have to add a few squares to the ones we have received to make an Afghan come together but I am really looking forward to it!

Worked on my swap squares last night as I watched TV. I did Sunny's technique w/ starting the center only of them and that worked out really well. Great idea!!!! Thanks Sunny....so glad you mentioned it. The repetition really does help you learn a new pattern. I could just crochet without having to hover over my pattern book every 2 secs trying to re-find my place etc...

It's an over cast, wee bit chilly day here, so we are having a lazy day. It's the perfect kind of day to crochet. Now if I can convince my hubby to make us a fire it will just be perfect.

I did see that cute Lil' duckling in the back. I love baby pics no matter what they are. What all kinds of breeds do you think hatched out? We got our first ducklings last spring. 3 Pekins. They have been a real joy. Do you need EE to hatch? I have EE & Ameraucanas.

I did a swap years ago and I was able to do a bunch of squares in off white, so everyother square was one that someone else made (there was no color scheme) and the others of course were off white. Turned out really nice

Tapped a couple of maple trees today...first time so we'll see what happens
