Staggered hatching Hatch-A-Long

Ok, I’m a bit confused. I tought You candle day 18 and transfer to the hatcher on day 19. Thats also what my hatchabatch app says znd as I recall it’s what I did the previous years. But now I started using Ichatch-chickens app and it’s letting me know I need to transfer them to the hatcher today (day 18). :th

I always candle and set the eggs on day 18 but I have heard you can stop turning as early as day 14 since the babies can move themselves by then.

Ok, so I have found where my confusion is coming from. Here in Belgium we count the day of setting the eggs as day one, so that would mean putting them in lockdown on day 19. If you count the day of setting as day 0, like most do here, you would put them in lockdown on day 18. Just glad I won't have to drive home to get them transferred into the hatcher. Alltough I am very curious about candling them.

Ok, so I’m so excited about going hole tomorrow afternoon and getting my little peepers into the hatcher! Yay! First chicks of the season coming up for me!

@LilyD how are your eggs doing? Got anither live stream?
Yes I have a livestream going here:

Divided the incubator into two halves. The three in lockdown are on one side the 14 shipped eggs that are making it into lockdown are on the other. So when the three hatch this weekend they don't kick the younger eggs around. The three I have on camera are due to hatch Saturday hopefully. Trying to keep the humidity lower so that it doesn't spike so high when they hatch.
