I also rode in a canter class with Sugar and we got third place. There was only three people in that class, but I still was so proud!

I've never tried any other braids than what you did there (the woes of only riding lesson horses and also never having time) but I've seen them where the mane is braided down the crest, at the top, in one long braid...I could try to find a pic if you don't know what I'm talking about.
