Picture taking day. DH got back from taking the boys on a campout, and he's sleeping, so I had time on my hands to go take pictures.

Wildflowers are in bloom.





I finally got the shot I've been trying for! One of my honeybees returning with her pollen sacs full.

Or evidently to replace a queen, like my hive did.

X2. They only make queen cells for two reasons- their queen is failing (not producing enough pheremones) and they need to replace her, or they feel crowded and want to split. If you give them more room and remove the queen cells that will quell that urge. Since she knows this is not the old queen but a newer one, I'm guessing the queen cells are reason #2.
