Wow, I love ranches, I can't take stairs anymore. What great lighting with skylights and all. Floor does have to go SOON .

Y'all probably think that floor is a big chunk of ugly 70's linoleum. But you would be wrong. Those are individually laid ceramic tiles!

Maybe they hid something below the flooring, and with "that floor" you wouldn't notice any suspicious levers or something to open it.

I think the floor is kind of unique, but I like things that are different and one of a kind.

The floor is sort of quirky. Sometimes, something you think you hate can grow on you, maybe you'll even like it. But, in the picture, it almost looks like the floor is, well, moving, like a kaleidoscope, lol.

We may eventually have to move ourselves. We have a ranch style but the basement is mostly above ground so there are 9 steps to get to the wraparound porch. With Tom's back and knees and my ankle, sometimes, they are daunting. If we widened the steps some, we could put in one of those chairlift things and deface the place (I hate the looks of those), but it would make it easier to stay here.

I like the looks of your chosen house, personally. I'd love to find one flat on the ground with a huge kitchen like that. It does have great potential, Mary. In the long run, you'll love that, trust me. Me, I don't have it in me to do a huge renovation again, but if you can hire someone to get it done fairly quickly, go for it. Best of luck to you on this one. Look forward to seeing more pictures! And I pray the neighbor situation is pleasant here.
