I tried a new take on an Egg McMuffin this morning. Instead of serving an oval of hash browns on the side, I cooked mine in round patties, covered them with cheese, then served them on the sandwich! Oh, and I use regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon. The only negative comment was that the hash browns could have been crispier to which I replied, "Then you should have gotten out of bed sooner and they would have been!" p.s. I started my online food photography course on Friday. Hopefully these pictures will get better!
This is the heat lamp I use in my shed grow out pen. I loved it so much I bought a second one. They are so well made. I also bought the tripod to suspend it and I've had no trouble with birds trying to perch on it. Deb
I bought a few of these with the tripod during the winter.. Thank you Deb for Recommending them. These heat lamps are a most have. I love mine. They work great!
He looks so much like my golden cuckoo maran...beautiful!

I posted a very long (24 minute) video of the chick resuscitation on my blog yesterday. I'll post a link to it here but wouldn't blame a soul for not watching it. It might come in handy for someone searching how to save a chick so it will be here if needed. Both babies are running around like nothing ever happened.
They are a secret project bird I am working on. They were the only ones out in the yard. All the others were smart enough to run to their coops. I'll just call them FBD's (Fierce...but dumb)!
My one month old dark egg layers would have been in the yard too except I disabled the pop door of their little coop last night until I could secure the fencing better. Whew!
