Me, when I'm sick..............I just want to be left alone and not hovered over.

So true.

I'll be kind since we have men on this thread.

YES, I LOVE TO BE HOVERED OVER... and my wife can't stand it, it's "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

My kids don't get the "Leave me alone" concept. I can't tell you how many times in the past 2 days I've asked them to leave me alone and that I don't feel well. My youngest can't fathom why I don't want to listen to the dog's squeaky toy for hours on end. And when I told him not to touch the dog's toy, he went to the kitchen timer. Ding! every few seconds. So lovely when you have a headache. And my DH is calling wanting to know "if I'm better yet". (code for you're cooking dinner, right?) Yeah, cuz I was just faking it before.

Oh, and I got to hear about how inconvenient my being sick is for him. Because he assumes he'll get sick too and he's too busy to be sick. And I'm not? Like I did it on purpose. Yup, I was on a mission to go infect myself so I could make him miserable.

Not suggesting this as a solution to the problem or anything, but this DOES remind me why I am not married. Three former spouses all displayed that behavior.

A cold or the flu? They were near death. Back pain? Totally incapacitated. Hungry? Whiny. Car ahead of 'em on the road? Must pass it, them, all of them; can't be behind another car going anywhere. Mornings? Uhh..never mind, not for this forum.
;)

Well, I'm heartsick. I let Elska and the three Araucana chicks she hatched for me out of their pen when I came home for lunch. When I got home I went out to check and she only had one chick with her. I found the other two in the water pan I had in the coop for the flock...

..didn't even think they could reach it but there was bedding mounded up in places and somehow they got into the water and couldn't get out. It was a beautiful day, why weren't they outside enjoying it?!

Lesson learned.....the hard way.
