I am so ready for Fall. We need rain and I am tired of being hot and sticky at 9:00 a.m. Anybody else?

Finally got the bid for our renovation!

Work is supposed to start first week in September. Not a minute too soon! Wanna' see the inside of my dishwasher again?

That kinda scares me and makes me wonder what is in tang.

A dish washer cleaning powder does not cost that much.

@The Sheriff Does your water in the new house have high iron? My Mom's place out of Shingletown has a lot of Iron and everything the water touches turns red. If so, a filter that removes Iron might help.

Yes we have high iron in the well water. There is a filter system in place but apparently it has not worked in many years because the aerator quit. The system will not work without aeration. After three trips to check it out, the well company finally realized the aerator wasn't working. They installed a new one and it seems to be fine now. I am still not touching that dishwasher! I will wash dishes by hand until my new one gets installed after the cabinet refacing.

I have no intention of using the dishwasher but this might make for a fun test and a potential blog post! I am buying some Tang today!

Iron will not come out easily either.

Bar Keepers Friend works--but now that the filter is working, It might be better to get a new one.
