Still having wet diarrhea... day 6...so skinny...HELP

Give him a few more days. If he had some sort of intestional parasite that sucked blood or irritated his intestines it's going to take a few days for that to heal. Keep doing what you're doing. I honestly don't think even a vet could tell you more without xrays and bloodwork. Which would cost a lot if you could even find a vet to do it.

Thanks, He is still eating and drinking. I gave him a little mixed ground grain and he ate it all and is searching through the bowl for more..... I will try to be more patient... I don't like having my birds sick.... no matter how often you go through it ... it is not any easier. I suspect they all may be feeling a bit off post treatments... right???

So today when I came home to check on Sara, there was some frank blood in the stool beneath where he perches... is this a bad sign?? He is already on the treatment....Amprol is all we have available for Cocci. Just keep going or do I do anything else?? He is still eating and drinking. I give him scrambled eggs with yogurt and a bit of Amprol for good measure.....

I've never used Amprol. That's what's in the medicated feed, but it just prevents the coccidia from multiplying as a preventative. I honestly don't know how it works for treatment. It doesn't sound like it is though, does it? I'm sure your vet could give you corid or Sulmet (what I use) or even Albon (if it can be used in chickens).
I'm so sorry but I don't know what to tell you other than keep doing what you're doing until you can get ahold of one of the other meds.

Amprol is what the vets offer for treatment of Cocci. LIke I have said, hard to find options here. Sara is still having this runny wet stools. He is still eating and drinking.... Should I be considering something else? Treating with something else?? For something else?? At least I know the wormer was effective. Have not seen any in the cage with sara, but saw some in poop in the yard.... I assume chickens are smart enough not to eat the round worms when they see them....

What wormer did you use because if you didn't use a good broad spectrum like Valbazen then they really didn't get wormed. People here use Sulmet or Corrid (Farm Supplies) for cocci normally.

Edit: Since your from Canada you might not find what I mentioned above. Just make sure the wormer you use gets tapeworms, cecal worms, round worms, as many types of worms as possible.

I used what is available to me... the Amprol is what the vets supply for cooci. I am in NS. Does not seem to be a lot of options. Should I be looking at another issue though... another infection?? Sara is still eating, but certainly not feeling well!!!! I might try some tetracycline and add some stress-aid to it.... please more help and ideas are appreciated.

Valbazen is a brand name for Albendazole. You could look for something with that or ask your vet for it.

Looks like Corid is amprolium so that must be like Amprol

Dawg53 here has some other full worming options posted, you could take a look at what he uses. Look at the ingredients then see if you can get an equivalent.

Keep doing the Amrol but if you keep seeing blood I would pursue the better worming angle aggressively.
