Yes, it's been several days since you used the other wormer so go ahead. I think it's like a pea sized dose (probably for an average sized bird though). I would do a search on Ivermectin paste and dose to check the dosages. Yes, some people here use the paste routinely.

By all means do the paste but you'll still want to look for something to get the tapeworms, etc. Ivermectin is great but it won't get tapes, gapes and I'm not sure but I don't think it gets cecal.

I gave sara some water with the tetracycline to help with any GI infection. Added some stress aid and some pro-biotics, incase his flora is shot from the treatments. I will look at the local feed store tomorrow. They close here early and I am in a small rural community away from other options. He is still eating and drinking well. Preens, but then jumps up to perch and looks miserable. Loosing lots of feathers it seems too. Could this be a molt too?Oh and Sara is a white silkie so he is small!! So maybe half a pea size of paste. ?

What Chkn said was good advice. if you can get Valbazen/Albendazole, do so. I use Fenbendazole aka Safeguard horse wormer (cheap and easy to get for me and maybe for you, too). A pea-sized glop of it for a bird Sara's size. 5 pea-sized glops wouldn't even hurt, it's that safe. But it'll kill all the same worms that Valbazen does except tape worms. The Zimectrin Gold will kills tapes also as Valbazen will, but they're not nearly as harmful as the other worms anyway.
How would a chicken know not to eat the worms in another chickens poop? They wouldn't know. And if one's got a particular worm then they all do anyway and you'll have to worm them all then repeat 10 days later. Extremely important with chickens. Any animal. Do a search about worms and you'll find tons of info.

I will check at the feed store. I think I have seen both of those.... he is still eating and drinking... just wish the diarrhea would stop.

I added an update to the first entry. Had Sara outside for a bit this evening after everyone else went in to perch. He ate a bit of grass, has a couple poops and then spent the next 10 minutes pacing back and forth in front of the coop door. I know if the door was open he would have ran in and jumped up to perch with the rest of the hens... I dusted him too as found a few lice on me after handling him. He did then proceed to shake most of the powder off himself after I let him outside. He was so bright and all. I hope this will pass so he feels good again. does anyone have any other ideas as to what I might be dealing with??

There's really no such thing as "a few lice". Lice almost look like tiny maggots and are mainly around their vent. Lice spent their entire life cycle *on the bird. Now mites.....they're even tinier and move fast. The most common are the white ones and they're about 1/2 the size of a grain of salt. They're all over the bird's skin. Mites spend a good share of their time in the bird's environment. So you'll have to treat all the birds along with the coop and run, etc if it's mites. If it's lice you'll still have to check all the birds and treat them all. Sevin dust is good for mites or lice. DE won't cut it once they've got them. They truly can make the bird miserable. Lice don't suck their blood but mites do and can make them very sick.

I treated the girls/boys for lice a week or so ago. Sara included. There were egg masses on the feather shafts so I suspect this is from hatching of those. I have not seen any mites.
