A friend of mine had this happen but in Florida.
She went to the Sheriffs office, he called the guy and said "Ya know, horse theft is still punishable by hangin'."
They went the next day and picked up her horse right off his property and he couldnt stop them.

I sure hope you get your horse back soon.

Leasing is a very scary situation.

Go anyway. Call them and say you'll be waiting outside of the judge's chambers so she can tell you the verdict herself. "The ownership hearing did not HAVE anyone recording anything..." OMG, are these people for REAL?

YOU better GO to that hearing they can make a decision and if you are not there you are um s c r e w e d!!! Be there and tell them this has to stop and you want your horse back before it gets old enough to die! For goodness sake !!!

Oh and do you have to have a deposit to HOLD a spot at the stable! If I were the stable owner I sure would have you put a deposit down so that is another investment you are incurring!!!
