Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

I'm not one for words but here's my pitiful post on that even more pitiful article;
"Frankly, I'm appalled that this is all you can say about this case. This has been far too ongoing and the poor horse might be dead long before he gets returned to his correct owner at this rate. You need to practice your research skills as well, this particular hearing was also cancelled at the last minute on her. I'm just so glad I do not live in Oklahoma. Someone could steal my dog and I'd never see them again."

The handling of this case is a gross miscarriage of justice. I am thinking of alerting national investigative reporters about this case so it will get the media attentiopn it deserves. I wonder how well all these characters will hold up under national or even international scrutiny. Please share the victim's side of this story.
Disgusted in Ohio

That's the comment I left. I sure wish we could see the comments let. It seems unusual that they are not showing up.

You do it, Prinl! I don't see why the FBI can't get involved, because if I have been reading everything right, the horse has been taken across state lines from his point of origin. Grand theft across state lines is a federal offense, at least that's what I've always been told. At the very least, the USDA should get involved, because I would bet this also means he went across state lines without a current health certificate or entry permit number. Usually you must have this in order to ship a horse across state lines; I know I would have to have it to show at our Nationals in Tulsa.

I think that's a good reply. We don't have real journalism anymore, and I'm glad you called them on the carpet for it.

Well I am no writer but here is my best lame attempt at helping.

I have followed this from early on.I Sure am glad that I am not from such a corrupt part of the country. I am truly amazed at the lack of concern in the so called "justice system" there. I also find it totally amazing that the local media has done nothing to blow this wide open and find out just who the crooks are in this court system. Or perhaps the local media is also a part of the crooks.

I just started following this thread and am sooooo MAD !! I wasn't able to read through all of it , but was wondering if you have registration papers or paperwork with your name on it that identifies you as the owner . I'm asking because I need all of the facts so that I can go to my local media and see if they can publish something or get ahold of you media down there . We are a small state , and I believe if we could get it published up here , things might get to churning down there . I know you have a lease contract , I also know you said you horse doesn't have a brand . Regardless of that , unless you raised him yourself and never had a brand inspector over , you should have paperwork stating his markings etc . Let me know and Montana will be in full force ( as much as I can make it ) !! NEVER QUIT ! He's yours , and the law around here is the same as in Florida...It's a hangin' offense .

Well alright girl....I'm going into town tomorrow . For some reason our newspaper likes to hear about bad things out of state so I'll do my best to get the ball rolling ! I CAN'T believe the sherrif's dept . hasn't looked at your paperwork and tracked your horse down , then thrown the guy in jail . Keep hangin' in there , we'll get it figured out . Life's hard especially when you're fighting for the things that mean the most . I guess that's why they call it life .

Thanks guys...I really do appreciate your help. I hope the comments go STRAIGHT to the journalists email. Hopefully then he'll take it upon himself to respond to my emails!

Thank you unionwirewoman! I appreciate anything you guys can do from out of state!
