Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

I don;t even get why they are "closed" Monday... Sure theres a 4th of July.. but this is SUNDAY?... Not Monday... most places that close on holidays are going to be open Monday so why wouldn't they... the people who are meant to stop these bad guys?

I bet to the police dept this is "just a horse" and not our beloved Max, that we all feel like is ours at this point.

They will probably laugh all weekend long if this is pushed to be taken care of in this good ole boy town, on the holiday weekend.

Geesh this is ridiculous. I hope that the Uncle and Nephew get big Bubba in their cell with them!

Yeah, see.. that was what I was thinking. Those big scary dudes with tattoos that get people's horses back for them? Aren't those guys called Net Posse? Something like that. Anyways, I thought Ropo had talked to them already (WAY back) and they were willing to help except that the ownership was being contested. Now that it isn't, get those scary guys out there to help you get your horse!

you need to call them and inform them that if they do not assist you in the retrieval of your STOLEN PROPERTY that you will be pursuing charges of criminal misconduct against the entire department.

criminal misconduct: Dishonest or bad management, especially by persons entrusted or engaged to act on another's behalf; Deliberate wrongdoing, especially by government or military officials. it includes "selective enforcement of the law" which just about sums up that department's whole attitude toward you and this situation.

I am so sorry that this has happened. My dad had several horses stolen(tennessee walkers 20 years ago. they took all the registered horses and left the 2 mix breeds(pretty sure it was an inside job with the people who took care of the horses for my dad) he got most of them back with in 6 months . 3 were killed because they starved them to death , but he had less trouble getting a herd back than you are geting one horse back and that is so sad. I hate that we live in a world where you cant even trust the law to do things in a timely manner and that you cant trust anybody anymore. again I am sorry that you are ngoing thru this. I will keep praying that you get max bak.

Ropo, have you contacted the State's Attorney General? It sounds like there is alot of corruption in the local police agency and the SAG is suppose to investigate such matters. If the sheriff's dept. did contact the uncle the night before to warn him that is obstruction of justice and under the color of authority.
The other posters are correct about the warrent, if they truly need one, a judge is available to sign one 24 hours a day 7 days a week. But the paperwork has to be submitted by law enforcement.
You've hung on this long, don't give up, hopefully the judge will be so p'oed she'll chew the sheriffs dept a new one and order your horse returned that day.
I wish all us posters lived close by, I would be happy to saddle up with a .30-.30 and my .45 and go get your Max back for you...and they wonder why some people take the law into their own hands.

The corruption and incompetance STARTS with the Oklahoma Attorney General. Have known him personally since 1979. The AG sued poultry producers for using "fertilizer" on their farm land. That suit is still in federal court. Plus he is running for govenor. He has no time to do his job. Ropo will have to wait till the judge gets back. This is a very favorable judge. The judge will be angry at whoever assisted the uncle. Its not nice to mess with mother nature....I mean a judge.
