Sultans!

Well, shoot, I'm letting my hen hatch some that I don't want but I'm in California

Otherwise I'd give 'em to you!

Hi all, I have one lonely Sultan hen that I got as a chick from McMurray and would love to get some hatching eggs. They are hard to find for sure. Presently she is living with my slikies. Anyone have any idea where to find some?

I purchased a sultan at a swap meet recently. She is 5 1/2 months old they said. I have a few questions.
1. Her beak is really long and curls over. Should I trim it or something?
2. What age do they start laying, around?

Does anyone know a good place for me to rehome some Sultan cockerels? My 15 year old hatched out 7 out of 8 sultan eggs in October and 6 of them turned out to be cockerels. They are such a rare and special breed I want to match them to someone that will appreciate them, but I just can't have that many roos...

Any ideas?

I know the sultans r already so awesome, but I couldn't resist breeding my hen with my Frizzled Cochin rooster. I hatched 3 of their babies, just a few weeks old. They r soo adorable! Can't wait to see them grown out!

I am planning on breeding sultan bantams (white). They are good quality, I believe, except the female is missing a claw on one toe due to one of her toes being deformed :/. They have not layed yet but they should in mid Spring! Two people already want some

. Trying to give my sultans oats and things to help them start laying! I live in Oregon and I plan on breeding sultans! They're cute little guys!

I have three at the moment, King Alfred, Cleopatra, and King Tut!

For some reason they enjoyed being held like this. All the others despised it.

This is King Tut! He always had the orange tinted face.

She's the one with the toe problem. It wasn't too bad, she had two tiny claws on one toe and the toe was oddly shaped. I never got a good picture of it.

I just got two Sulans! As you can see.

And I loooooooooove them! They're a little bit over 2 months old.

They have an amazing temperment and aren't crazy hyper like my other chickens.

Don't trim the beak, its really sensitive. I have a silkie with cross beak she eats a little less, bu other than that she's learned how to get along just fine with her deformity. Also the average laying start time is about 24 weeks.

Hope that helped out!
