Happy Labor Day~

No crocheting for me over the weekend. I do drag my bag full of swaps w/ me every where, but didn't get any done. I'll get it out of the car and try to work on them today. It's an overcast dreary day which is perfect crocheting weather.

Betty~ Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well w/ the closing of your DD's new house. Congratulations on the GGC! Can't wait to see pics of the blanket you are crocheting for the new arrival. Glad you were able to find the yarn online to be able to finish it. Good for you completing your 2 sets of swaps! I have one set complete and barely started on my 2nd set, but those monster 12" take longer.

Bummer Rancher! It has to be the new forum set up. Nobody was e-mailed or pm-ed. There was info posted advertising this swap on the last swap thread and the crochet chat for a long time before sign up dead lines. So sorry you missed the info. I was wondering why you didn't sign up to participate. Don't worry b/c I'm sure there will be another swap in the future. BTW... you do fantastic work. I love your squares I received from the last swap. Sadly I haven't made anything out of mine yet. Did you do anything w/ yours?

It is a great event. I have never missed a year before but I don't love it enough to brave those crowds with a still very sore ear infection. It is definitely better though. A lot of the swelling on the outside is down now. Just right in front of the ear is swollen still (and the inside of course). So I should be clear of this in a few more days.

Oh Man! If I had known I would have sent you an email!!! I love your work! I am kinda relieved now though. I thought you just didn't want to join my swap.

I'm all for you signing up now since it isn't your fault you didn't hear about it! In fact we got the idea of choosing the yarn colors ahead of time from you! If some folks don't want to make one more or can't due to time/yarn restraints I don't mind making a few more to make those up.

For those of you that weren't part of the last swap, Rancher is a great asset and I was very sad when he didn't sign up. Everyone OK with letting him sign up now since it was a BYC platform glitch and not his fault? I really don't mind making extras to make up for any who can't add one more to their set...

Since the deadline is the 30th I'll pass, but if there is a Fall swap please include me. I haven't followed since the change and this new set up can be a pain. The old one showed recent postings but this is hard to follow. I only follow certain threads. This would be one of them. Let me know when and if there is another swap. I'll subscribe to this one just the same. It will be nice to see pics of everyones work.

Well I will admit to being busy with the garden and chickens. Built a new half hoop, hatched chicks and planted lots of things. Also baby sitting the Queen. Nothing gets done when she's here with me. We're to busy going to the park or feeding the chickens or just going for a walk. I always say, If I knew grandchildren were so much fun I would have had them first.

We recently spent the entire day and part of the evening at the State Fair. What a great day. I had to squeeze in the gut to get into that thing or she couldn't go on, but you know how it is. Anything for the Queen.

This is all that is left of my Cafe Latte'. I love the color and know I will use more of it so I picked up another skein.
