Hi everyone!

I'm back from the coast. We had a good time and it rained while we were there. I liked that too since we don't get much rain here. Nights are in the 40's now and I had to ut a blanket on the bed. Days are cool enough for jeans. Having an early Thanksgiving dinner on Wed. since my GS will be going back to Afghan. on the 20th. Thought he'd enjoy a family dinner no matter what he gets over there.

DH and I just got back too. We had a great weekend with the kids and grand kids. Got to spend some time with my sister and some dear friends too. An extremely busy weekend but a lot of fun.

I came home to 2 more packages!!! Kate and Jessica's squares arrived (seriously awesome squares!) and Bama Gal's squares arrived! They are just beautiful!

HookedOnStitch has already mailed her's as well and they are on their way!!! They should be here tomorrow. And that is it! This means we have all the squares here, or on their way, and there are no other's we are waiting on.

OK I better go unpack the essentials at least. Hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

Well it hasn't arrived here yet. I'm sure it will be here by tomorrow though.

Hope you are all having a great day today! :)

You are very welcome!

I had an interesting day today. I was out feeding animals at 8:00 this morning and the back door slammed shut on me and I have no idea how but it locked on me! The lock has been weird since we moved in (I'm sure before that) and it is difficult to work but it has never locked on me. When I first went to turn it, it started to give but then wouldn't turn the rest of the way and when I turned the knob the other way it clicked tight and then wouldn't budge no matter how hard I jiggled it!

I tried to find a way to break in. Something I've always been able to do in every other house I've lived in but this house was locked up tight as a drum. I guess that's good news. I went to the one neighbor we've met, to use the phone, but they weren't home and the other neighbor's dog wouldn't let me get near their property (we live out in the sticks and most of the houses are down very long driveways so no chance of anyone seeing me from the street) so I decided to walk to my friend's house that is 2 & 1/2 miles away. This may not seem like much for some of you but I am disabled due to my back and by the time I got to my friend's house I was in quite a bit of pain.

Well this friend of mine has a key to my house and is a serious homebody and hates to leave the house if she doesn't have to but this one time (of course) she happened to not be there. When I got there and realized she wasn't home I actually broke down and started crying!!! Now you all don't know me very well so you have no idea how out of character that is for me but trust me... I don't cry. Well rarely anyway. There was nothing left to do but walk back home. I sat in the dirt, on the side of the road, when I got tired and just kept going til I finally reached home then sat out on the porch for several more hours til my Dad finally came home at 1:30 to check on me when I didn't show up for lunch with him and my brother.

By that time I was pretty parched and hungry (I went to feed the puppies before I ate breakfast and even got myself something to drink) so I was very happy to see the two of them drive up! Ah well, lesson learned. From now on I never step foot out of the house without my keys and my phone!!!
